I'm James and I'm a junior from Irvine, California. I'm majoring in EE with a CS minor, and am a member of Venerable House. I'm primarily interested in the mathematical subfields of electrical engineering like information theory, as well as anything involving algorithms. For instance, I'm currently doing research with Professor Victoria Kostina on how communication systems can efficiently incorporate feedback to allow for higher bitrates and lower latency. I've also had the chance to study abroad at the University of Edinburgh for a term - unfortunately without the Scottish accent to prove it. Looking to the future, I'm planning on going onwards to graduate school, but the rest is still to be determined. In my free time, I enjoy seeing live music, finding new places to hike, and watching dark comedies.
